I was born in Fordyce, Arkansas, home of Coach Paul "Bear" Bryant. I graduated from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas, with a degree in geography. I obtained a degree in speech pathology from Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. My masters degree in audiology was granted by the University of Arkansas for the Medical Sciences. I obtained my Doctorate of Audiology (Au.D.) from the University of Florida.
I have a Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech and Hearing Association.

The Arkansas Speech, Language and Hearing Association awarded me the 2003 Audiology Award for Distinguished Service.
I am married to Gene Hill. We live in Camden, Arkansas with our 8 cats and 4 dogs. No problem, we live in the country!
